Overview

Our client is seeking a Full-time Medical Director to oversee the Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly in Mobile, AL. The role involves providing medical direction, supervision of participant care, and leadership to the program colleagues and providers. The ideal candidate will have a Doctorate degree, relevant certifications, and experience working with the elderly population. Salary range: $231,000 - $280,000 depending upon experience Up to 10% bonus potential Key Responsibilities ● Provide general medical direction and supervision of participant care ● Responsible for clinical outcomes and oversight of the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement program ● Develop and maintain medical policies and procedures/standards ● Supervise related Primary Care Providers and APPs ● Provide leadership and guidance to program colleagues and providers ● Conduct history and physical on participants ● Educate participants and families regarding health maintenance ● Supervise health care and treatment program ● Perform physical examinations and order diagnostic tests ● Participate in provider on-call rotation Schedule and Shift Details ● Full-time position with standard business hours Travel ● Occasional travel within the region

Qualifications

Required
  • Doctorate degree
  • 1+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
    • Geriatric Care
    • Senior Care
    • Geriatric/LTC
  • ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
    • Board Certified internal medicine
    • Medical Doctor (MD) in Alabama (AL)
    • Board Certified family medicine
  • ALL of the following valid licenses/certifications:
    • Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS)
    • Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
    • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
