Qualifications

Required
  • Associate degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
    • Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg)
    • Acute Care
    • Home Health
    • Wound Care
    • Emergency Department (ED)
    • Critical Care
  • ALL of the following valid licenses/certifications:
    • Registered Nurse (RN) in Ohio (OH)
    • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)

Overview

Our client is seeking a full-time Private Duty Registered Nurse in Western Cuyahoga County, OH. The ideal candidate will provide skilled nursing care, demonstrate effective communication and collaboration, and maintain patient safety. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. The candidate should have experience in home health care. This position will service the following coverage areas; Western Cuyahoga County, OH Key Responsibilities ● Utilizes principles of the nursing process to assist in data collection, planning and evaluation of nursing care. ● Demonstrates nursing knowledge and skills in the implementation of prevention, therapeutic and rehabilitative nursing care. ● Utilizes effective interviewing techniques; sets limits, and collects data based on specific role. ● Communicates and collaborates effectively with health care providers, third parties, patients and families based on specific role. ● Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of patient. ● Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or Physician of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents. ● Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol. ● Uses oral and written communications to convey pertinent information to members of the healthcare team in a timely manner.
