Overview

As a Home Health RN with our client in Ocean County, NJ, you will provide skilled nursing care to patients of various age groups. Your responsibilities include implementing nursing care plans, maintaining patient safety, and effective communication with healthcare providers. This role requires organizational skills, independence, and a commitment to patient confidentiality. Key Responsibilities ● Provide direct or indirect skilled comprehensive nursing care to a specified (or variety) of age and diagnostic groups ● Utilize principles of the nursing process to assist in data collection, planning, and evaluation of nursing care ● Demonstrate nursing knowledge and skills in the implementation of prevention, therapeutic, and rehabilitative nursing care ● Utilize effective interviewing techniques; sets limits, and collects data based on specific role ● Communicate and collaborate effectively with health care providers, third parties, patients, and families based on specific role ● Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs of patients ● Observe patients, records significant conditions and reactions, and notify supervisor or Physician of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents ● Respond to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol ● Use oral and written communications to convey pertinent information to members of the healthcare team in a timely manner Schedule and Shift Details ● 8:30a-4:30p, 1 weekend per month, including working one summer and one winter holiday ● EMR: Home Care Home Base ● Equipment Provided: Tablet, Phone Benefits ● Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance ● 401k ● HSA/FSA ● PTO

Qualifications

Required
  • Associate degree or higher
  • ALL of the following valid licenses/certifications:
    • Registered Nurse (RN) in New Jersey (NJ)
    • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
  • 1+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
    • Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg)
    • Acute Care
    • Emergency Department (ED)
    • Critical Care
    • Burn Unit/Wound Clinic
    • Home Health
    • Oncology
  • Have you applied at VNA in the last 6 months?
