Overview
As a Post Surgical Unit Nurse, you will provide comprehensive care for post-operative patients, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement individualized care. You will document patient assessments and interventions while ensuring optimal patient care. Key Responsibilities ● Provide holistic care for post-operative patients including orthopedic, bariatric, urologic, or general surgical procedures. ● Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, and learning needs. ● Establish nursing diagnoses and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. ● Plan and update care based on identified diagnoses and needs. ● Implement individualized care including medication administration, wound care, and pain management. ● Assist with activities of daily living and patient handling. ● Teach patients and families about healthcare, illness prevention, and wellness promotion. ● Supervise unlicensed assistive personnel for optimum patient care. ● Coordinate interdisciplinary care and document patient assessments and interventions. Schedule and Shift Details ● 12-hour nights from 1900-0730, must float to the MCU and IMCU as needed.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher

2+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
- Acute Care
- Inpatient Facility

1+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
- Orthopedic
- Surgery - Orthopedic
- Post Acute

ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA ACLS)
- American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS)
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) in Oregon (OR)
