Overview

Our client is seeking Licensed Vocational Nurses to provide advanced nursing care at the San Antonio State Hospital. The role involves promoting health, providing training, and ensuring the well-being of individuals in the facility. This position requires a valid LVN license in Texas and experience in a behavioral health setting. Key Responsibilities ● Performs advanced vocational nursing work ● Provides care, treatment, and general welfare of individuals at the San Antonio State Hospital ● Collects specimens for lab work and performs health screenings ● Instructs staff on providing service and care supporting medical needs ● Performs technical nursing procedures according to regulations ● Provides on-the-job training to new LVNs and direct care staff ● Monitors and assigns work to psychiatric nursing assistants ● Evaluates nursing intervention outcomes and provides input to healthcare team ● Assists with implementation of protocols, procedures, and programs to improve health and safety Schedule and Shift Details ● Shifts are from 6:30AM-7PM

Qualifications

Required
  • Behavioral Health (1+ years)
  • Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
  • ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
    • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
    • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA ACLS)
    • American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA PALS)
