Overview

As a CT Technologist at our client, you will perform diagnostic CT exams under general supervision. Your responsibilities include verifying patient identity, explaining procedures, acquiring images, reviewing images, and participating in process improvement activities. You must be registered by ARRT in Radiology or CT, have at least 1 year of experience, and hold a current state radiology license. Preferred qualifications include AHA BLS or CPR certification. Key Responsibilities ● Verifies patient identity and reviews patient's medical record for appropriateness of exam or procedure. ● Explains procedure to patient, including side effects of pharmaceuticals administered, risks, benefits, alternatives and follow-up. ● Sets up equipment and acquires appropriate images as per script. ● Reviews images, makes initial observations, documents exceptions from established protocols and communicates data to radiologist. Recognizes and responds to medical emergencies as appropriate. ● Participates in process improvement activities within radiology practice including but not limited to quality of care, patient flow, reject-repeat analysis and patient satisfaction. ● Provides imaging education to residents, student technologists and new employees. ● Instruct patients who may be under physical/emotional stress ● Ability to comprehend and follow physician's verbal and written request and prescriptions. Schedule and Shift Details ● Days, Afternoons, or Night shifts available; 8 or 10-hour shifts; Rotating Weekends, On-Call required

Qualifications

Required
  • 1+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
    • Radiology
    • 1+ year of experience as a Radiology or CT Technologist
  • ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
    • Must hold an ARRT (R) or ARRT (CT)
    • Must be a graduate of an accredited imaging program
  • ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
    • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
    • CPR certification is accepted in addition to BLS
