Nocturnist APP

Overview

Medicus is proud to partner with a hospital on the coast of North Carolina that has an open Nocturnist position for a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Location: Jacksonville, NC Position Highlights: • Schedule: 7p-7a, 7 on/7 off • 12-bed ICU • NO ICU specialty units, will see everything across the spectrum • Required Procedures: Intubation, RSI, central lines, arterial line • Daily Volume: 12 patients • Must be comfortable practicing independently • 2 MDs & 2 APPs • EMR: Meditech • Board certification required • Salary: $125K • Comprehensive benefits & retirement package • Medical malpractice insurance: Yes, plus tail coverage. • CME allowance Overview Comments • Procedures required: intubation, RSI, central lines, arterial line • Procedures preferred: bronchoscopy, paracentesis, thoracentesis, transvenous pacers, pulmonary artery catheters 7on/7off, 7p-7a MD on call at night. Selling feature that the NP/PA will have no one breathing down their neck, and they will be able to practice medicine on their own. Important that the APP is very independent/comfortable and confident enough to manage floor at night.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher
• ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP) in North Carolina (NC)
  • Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) in North Carolina (NC)
