Overview
Required skills and experience: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of formal two-year respiratory education program which meets requirements for certification (CRT) and registration (RRT). Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist in the State of Arizona and CPR. As required by facility: ACLS, PALS and NRP required within 12 months of employment. 2+ years in Respiratory. Acute care and ICU, hemodynamic, PFT, and cardiology experience preferred. Ability to teach and guide staff, students, and new hires during their training. Able to actively take a leadership role to meet the needs of the department What you need to know: JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides respiratory therapy to patients as ordered by physicians. Works on more complex cases. Trains and Mentors staff. Performs all types of Respiratory Care including diagnostic testing, treadmills, complete PFTs, ABG machine maintenance, hemodynamics, special procedures and ENGs Performs procedures required in the specialty areas, i.e. ICU, PACU, etc. Performs assessment and treatment of newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Ability to precept students and orienteers. Requires knowledge of asepsis, infection control, volume ventilators, and patient hemodynamics. Strong customer service and basic computer skills are preferred May supervise shift therapists SCHEDULE: Night Shifts Full Time 6p - 630a Day Shifts Full Time Full-Time/Days 6a - 630p
Qualifications
- High School/GED

ALL of the following valid licenses/certifications:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Arizona (AZ)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
- RRT (2+ years)
- Do you have 2+ years in Respiratory, Acute care and ICU, hemodynamic, PFT, and cardiology experience?
