Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
Overview
As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) at our client's facility in Gainesville, TX, you will be responsible for providing nursing services, treatments, and preventive procedures to ensure inmate care and safety. This full-time position requires an Associate degree and relevant experience in Med/Surg or LTAC settings. Key Responsibilities ● Provide nursing services, treatments, and diagnostic procedures for inmate care and safety ● Interpret physicians’ orders and administer prescribed medication ● Assist physician with sick call and apply surgical dressings and bandages ● Provide emergency first aid care and check vital signs ● Instruct inmates on discharge planning and observe signs and symptoms during sick call ● Report reactions to treatments and medications, and changes in inmates’ condition ● Consult with supervisor on problem cases and maintain accurate medical records ● Provide health care education to inmates Schedule and Shift Details ● Full-time evenings, 1:30pm-10pm (Friday - Tuesday)
Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher

1+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
- Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC)
- Geriatric/LTC
- Long Term Acute Care (LTAC/LTACH)

ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
- Must have physical, Flu, MMR, T-Dap, HepB, Varicella, TB, Covid, IV certification, Diploma or Transcript
