Psychiatrist: Correctional Care Ionia, Michigan Full-time, Locum contract (40hrs. per week, M-F, 8am-5pm) We are seeking qualified Psychiatrist for a Michigan-based locum opportunity, where you’ll have the opportunity to work on a short-term basis for one of the best correctional facilities in the state. During this assignment, you’ll be responsible for; Providing diagnostic evaluation and treatment to patients on the Mental Health Inpatient Unit, Providing psychiatric consultation, diagnosis, and treatment to inmates and providing clinical direction, general supervision and training to the Mental Health Unit staff. Your hours for this position will be Monday-Friday, 40hrs. per week and you’ll see a varying amount of patients per day. You’ll be required to have the following certifications in order to be qualified for this position: Must be a graduate of medical school and have completed an appropriate psychiatric residency. Child and Adolescent, Corrections experience preferred, Must be licensed to practice in the applicable state and certified by the Office of Mental Health to provide psychiatric services in a licensed inpatient unit, and current DEA number.
