Staff Physician

Overview

This role is focused on providing high-quality medical care to patients while collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals. The Staff Physician will play a key role in patient management, documentation, and compliance with medical protocols, ensuring the best outcomes for patients. Key Responsibilities ● Provide highest standard of outpatient medical care to patients ● Take responsibility for accurate charting and documentation ● Manage cases for patients with chronic conditions ● Consult with Medical Director on diagnosis or management problems ● Arrange timely consultations with specialists ● Participate in staff meetings and contribute to clinic improvement ● Prescribe essential medicine to patients ● Facilitate audits for compliance with State and Federal regulations ● Serve as preceptor for medical students and Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant students ● Participate in daily team meetings/huddles ● Support nursing staff in implementing policies and procedures Schedule and Shift Details ● Willingness to work off hours and overtime to attend to patients. Travel ● Required to rotate between all the Health Clinics as needed.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree
• Valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
• ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
  • Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (CCRP)
  • American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS)
• Valid Medical Doctor (MD) in California (CA)
