Medical Assistant
Overview
Join our client as a Medical Assistant, where you will play a vital role in providing individualized care to a diverse patient population. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient clinic operations and support patients in their healthcare journey. Key Responsibilities ● Manage customer flow throughout the clinic ● Assist providers in the management and treatment of customers ● Perform clinical and clerical tasks to assist with customer flow ● Give immunizations, injections, and other medications as directed by the provider ● Perform laboratory specimen collection as needed ● Provide telephone support and facilitate communication between customers and providers ● Assist with prescription refills and perform x-ray duties if qualified ● Provide front desk/check-in support and order/stock supplies ● Maintain skill proficiency and upgrade any additional or new skills as needed Travel ● Travel using personal vehicle to various local worksites is required. Only applicable for Occupational Medicine.
Qualifications
- High School/GED

ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
- American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
- Valid Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in Minnesota (MN)
