Ophthalmologist (Glaucoma Specialist) – VA Contract | Columbia, SC Recruiter Compensation: 2% of total hourly billing Estimated $5–$6 per hour Approximately $900–$1,000 per month Paid monthly for the full duration of the contract (through 2031) We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Ophthalmologist with Glaucoma specialization for a long-term VA assignment in Columbia, SC. Position Highlights: Contract through 5/31/2031 (long-term stability) On-site at Columbia VA Medical Center Clinic hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm Rotating call (approx. 1 week/month, includes weekends) Compensation: $160–$175/hour (based on experience) ~ travel stipend (or blended rate available) Requirements: Board Certified/Eligible in Ophthalmology (ABO) Active, unrestricted U.S. license BLS/ACLS required Must meet full VA credentialing standards (strict compliance) Important: Full-time commitment required – no partial availability Must be fully committed to accepting if selected Seeking providers interested in minimum 1-year commitment, ideally longer Submission Requirements: CV Active licenses Board certifications NPDB / malpractice history

Required
  • Doctorate degree
  • Ophthalmology (1+ years)
  • Credentialing (1+ years)
  • ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
    • Board Eligible
    • Board Certified
    • Doctor of Optometry (OD) in South Carolina (SC)
  • ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
    • American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS)
    • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
  • ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
    • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA ACLS)
    • American Red Cross Advanced Life Support (ARC ALS)
    • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
