Overview

Required skills and experience: MD/DO Board Eligible or Certified What you need to know: Interview process: Speaking with a partner in the group Job selling points: Recruiter Pitch – Nashville Ortho "I want everyone to pay attention to this search because I think it's one of the better orthopedic opportunities we'll have this year. This is an established private orthopedic practice in the Nashville market with nearly 20 years of history and a patient base of over 40,000 patients. They already have more demand than they can handle and are turning patients away because they simply don't have enough surgeons. The exciting part is they're entering a major growth phase. Their goal is to grow from four physicians to ten over the next year while building a brand-new physician-led ambulatory surgery center. They're looking for fellowship-trained surgeons who want to be part of building something—not just taking another employed hospital job. They're hiring in Adult Reconstruction, Orthopedic Trauma, Neuro/Ortho Spine, and Interventional Pain. The ideal candidate is someone finishing fellowship in 2026 or 2027, or an early-career surgeon who wants to make their mark in private practice. They're looking for physicians who think like builders—people interested in long-term relationships, future partnership opportunities, and helping grow one of the premier independent orthopedic groups in Middle Tennessee. When you're talking to candidates, don't lead with compensation or contract details. Lead with the vision. This is a chance to join a booming practice with immediate patient demand, integrated imaging and physical therapy, a new ASC on the horizon, and leadership that's investing heavily in the future. The question I want you asking candidates is simple: 'If you had the opportunity to join an established orthopedic practice in Nashville that's expanding rapidly and building a physician-led ambulatory surgery center, would you be interested in learning more?' Our job is to find physicians who get excited about that story and introduce them to doctors in the group." Additional job details: You're not selling the contract. You're selling the opportunity. Your goal isn't to close the physician. It's to get the physician excited enough to say: "I'd like to learn more." Once they're interested, the doctors in the group can sell the ownership structure and partnership details. What you're really recruiting for is: • Private Practice • Ground Floor Opportunity • New ASC (with buy-in option) • Physician Ownership • Nashville • High Patient Demand • Entrepreneurial Culture • Build Your Legacy I would avoid mentioning the complicated compensation model in your marketing materials. Instead, I'd build the ad around vision. Recruiter Talking Points – Nashville Ortho Don't Lead With... • Compensation • Employment agreement • Call schedule • Contract details Lead With... "This is a rare opportunity to join an established private orthopedic practice that's entering its next phase of growth." Key Selling Points • Independent physician-owned practice • Nearly 20 years in the community • 40,000+ established patient base • Immediate patient demand • New Ambulatory Surgery Center under development • Integrated PT & Imaging • Opportunity for long-term partnership discussions • Physician leadership • Entrepreneurial environment • East Nashville growth market Ideal Candidate • Fellowship-trained surgeon • Wants autonomy • Interested in helping build something • Comfortable in private practice • Long-term mindset • Team player • Interested in future ownership opportunities Candidate Hook "If you had the opportunity to join an established orthopedic practice today and help build the next premier independent orthopedic group in Nashville—with the potential to participate in future ownership opportunities—would you be interested in learning more?" The objective is not to sell the employment agreement. The objective is to get a qualified surgeon interested enough to speak with the group.
