Overview

This contract Physical Therapist role offers an opportunity to provide outpatient care focusing on orthopedic and work-related injuries. You will work Monday through Friday with a supportive team, engaging in patient-centered care and collaborating with workplace safety stakeholders. The role includes opportunities for professional development and contributing to health promotion programs. Key Responsibilities ● Treat orthopedic and work-related injuries primarily in an outpatient setting ● Develop treatment plans based on current physical therapy research, clinical reasoning, and patient values ● Promote direct access to physical therapy services and practice at highest skill level ● Participate in health center and patient care meetings, and maintain thorough documentation and reporting ● Engage in continuing competence activities such as peer review and presentations ● Collaborate with stakeholders including safety officers, ergonomists, and human resources to promote workplace safety ● Support positive behavior change beyond clinical settings ● Assist with injury prevention and health promotion presentations and workshops for onsite employees Schedule and Shift Details ● Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with holiday closures on November 11, 26, and 27. Flexible orientation and training days prior to start date.

Qualifications

Required
  • 1+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
    • Orthopedic
    • Sports Medicine
    • Surgery - Orthopedic
  • Valid Physical Therapist in Virginia (VA)
