MRI Technologist
Overview
This contract position offers an opportunity to provide high-quality MRI services in a professional healthcare environment focused on quality and patient safety. You will work independently using advanced imaging technology to support Veterans receiving care. The role requires strong technical skills, patient care abilities, and adherence to safety protocols. Key Responsibilities ● Perform MRI examinations according to established protocols ● Screen and prepare patients for MRI procedures ● Educate patients and provide reassurance and support throughout the examination ● Position patients and operate MRI equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images ● Evaluate images for clarity and accuracy ● Follow all MRI safety procedures and facility protocols ● Prepare contrast agents and accurately document pharmaceutical doses when applicable ● Monitor patients for physical or emotional changes during procedures ● Maintain accurate records within electronic health record and imaging systems ● Utilize PACS to prepare images for radiologist interpretation ● Identify equipment issues and coordinate appropriate follow-up Schedule and Shift Details ● Full-time contract opportunity
Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher
- Meditech MRI – Medical Records (1+ years)
- Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
