Sleep Medicine Physician – Remote Telehealth | Veterans Healthcare Submission Deadline: September 7 Hourly Compensation: $125 (might be higher if fellowship-trained or has other qualifications). We are seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible Sleep Medicine Physicians for a unique opportunity to provide virtual specialty care to Veterans through a major VA healthcare system. This is an opportunity to practice Sleep Medicine remotely while helping expand access to specialized care for Veterans. Physicians may work remotely from any state where they maintain an active, unrestricted medical license. Priority States Physicians licensed in the following states are of particular interest: Florida, Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona, and California. Candidates licensed in other states may also be considered based on licensure and contract requirements. The Opportunity This contract will provide approximately 1.3 FTE coverage, or roughly 2,700 labor hours annually, through a team of qualified Sleep Medicine Physicians. Physicians will provide remote clinical services that may include: Evaluation and management of sleep disorders through synchronous telehealth Interpretation of sleep studies Electronic consultations Remote physiologic and therapeutic monitoring Communication of diagnostic and treatment results Ongoing management of patients with sleep-related conditions Clinical documentation and completion of required electronic medical records Collaboration with other healthcare professionals involved in Veteran care Services will be provided virtually, allowing physicians to practice remotely while supporting a large Veterans healthcare population. Qualifications Qualified candidates must have: MD or DO degree Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Sleep Medicine Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in at least one U.S. state Active AHA BLS certification Ability to obtain and maintain required VA credentialing and privileging Experience evaluating and managing patients with sleep disorders Comfort practicing independently in a virtual/telehealth environment Strong communication and documentation skills Ideal Background This opportunity may be especially attractive to physicians who are looking for: Remote or virtual clinical work Flexible specialty practice opportunities Supplemental or contract-based work The opportunity to provide specialty care without relocating Experience working in telehealth or other virtual care models A mission-driven opportunity serving Veterans Important Application Information Because this opportunity has a September 7 submission deadline, interested physicians should be prepared to provide the required documentation promptly.
