Executive Director of Emergency Services Nursing Operations

This leadership role offers an opportunity to oversee emergency services and nursing operations across multiple hospital campuses. The position focuses on delivering high-quality patient care, improving safety and outcomes, managing resources, and fostering teamwork. The role requires strong communication and management skills, with a commitment to developing leaders and collaborating across departments to enhance patient experience and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities ● Lead and manage Emergency Services and Nursing Operations departments ● Develop and manage budgets and financial resources ● Market service areas and engage in strategic planning ● Build partnerships and relationships to advance organizational goals ● Serve as administrative liaison with physicians and medical staff committees ● Allocate human, material, and financial resources effectively ● Oversee clinical services, staffing plans, patient care evaluation, and process improvement ● Set goals, monitor progress, and provide feedback to department leaders ● Mentor new and existing leaders for succession planning ● Standardize care delivery across multiple campuses while respecting patient differences ● Collaborate with other service lines to improve patient flow and care coordination ● Ensure compliance with specialty designations and accreditations ● Use evidence and outcomes data to improve operational processes ● Promote a culture of patient and workplace safety ● Understand reimbursement systems and payer sources ● Innovate care delivery and coordination ● Participate in emergency response and disaster recovery as assigned Schedule and Shift Details ● On-site work only

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher
• Program Management (1+ years)
• ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) in Iowa (IA)
  • Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
• ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
  • Regular Driver License (DL) in Iowa (IA)
  • Commercial Driver License (CDL) in Iowa (IA)
