Director of Womens and Newborn Care
Overview
This leadership role offers an opportunity to oversee and improve Women’s and Newborn Services across multiple campuses. You will lead teams, manage budgets, and drive strategic initiatives to enhance patient care and operational performance. The role emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and a culture of safety and excellence, providing a meaningful impact on patient and family-centered care. Key Responsibilities ● Lead administrative functions of Women’s & Newborn Services across multiple campuses aligning with organizational strategy ● Develop and manage budgets ensuring effective use of financial resources ● Drive strategic planning and cultivate partnerships to advance organizational priorities ● Oversee clinical service line operations including standards of care and process improvement ● Serve as administrative leader and liaison for physicians and physician activities ● Allocate human, material, and financial resources to meet service line needs ● Collaborate with leaders to optimize patient flow and coordinate care between departments ● Ensure compliance with specialty designation requirements ● Use evidence, quality metrics, and outcomes data to guide operational changes ● Identify growth opportunities and lead new program development ● Champion patient- and family-centered care and set expectations for quality, service, and cost stewardship ● Lead department leaders by setting goals, monitoring performance, and providing coaching ● Promote a culture of safety and support a Just Culture ● Demonstrate innovation in care delivery and coordination ● Participate in initiatives to elevate professional nursing practice and nurse engagement ● Support professional nurse practice model and shared governance Schedule and Shift Details ● On-site only
Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher

- Registered Nurse (RN) in Iowa (IA)
- Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
