Director of Infection Prevention Myrtle Beach, SC FT We are searching for a new Director of Infection Prevention, to replace our soon to retire current Director. General Responsibilities -Responsible for assisting in planning, development, and coordination of programs of education for hospital employees as related to Safety, Infection Control and continuing education in general. -Works with Department Managers and the Infection Control Committee for formulation and revision of policies and procedures specific to Infection Control/Employee Health Program. -Serves on various committees related to Infection Control and Employee Health Education, performs and sees that health requirements are completed and coordinates the Employee Health Department. Necessary Qualifications: - Certification in Infection Control (CIC) - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing - Must have at least 5 years of progressive clinical nursing experience. Background must include increased responsibilities as a staff nurse, head nurse and supervisor with demonstrated ability in management, leadership and communication. - Candidates must have experience in acute care facilities
