Overview
We are seeking dedicated, talented nurses to join our OR Unit as a RN First Assistant. The RNFA renders direct patient care as part of the perioperative role by assisting the surgeon in the surgical treatment of the patient. This is accomplished under the direct supervision of the Attending Surgeon and in accordance to the goals of the department of Surgery and Philosophy of the Division of nursing and the policy of the medical staff. Our ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent time management skills. BSN required 2. Current RN license to practice in the state of Virginia 3. BLS for the Healthcare Provider CPR 4. Minimum of 4 years of OR experience with demonstrated leadership ability 5. RNFA must have completed and passed an approved, structured course in First Assisting 6. Certification in Perioperative Nursing is required within a year of completing the course.
