Director of Emergency Services

Overview

The Director Emergency Services Department assures service, growth, development, personnel management, and resource allocation and management controls in order to ensure consistent high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department. The Director must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to providing appropriate care to patients served in his/her department. The Director must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, the ability to assess and interpret data reflective of the patient s status, and the ability to identify each patient s care requirements as described in Department Policies and Procedures.
