Overview

We are seeking an experienced RN to join our team as a Clinical Educator. The Clinical Nurse Educator will have the chance to do challenging, career-enhancing work on our professional development team which serves a multi-site health system. This role specializes in organizational and staff development at all levels, with a focus on workforce readiness, advancing clinical excellence, supporting professional development, and building great teams and leaders. In this position, the Clinical Educator will be be assuming responsibility for all activities related to assessment, coordination, planning, implementation, and evaluation of education and training programs for clinical staff. The Clinical Educator will train and develop staff through the continuum of orientation, competency assessment and development, and ongoing education. This role will also employ evidence-based practice, tools, theories, and advanced skills to improve system-wide patient outcomes. In this role, the Clinical Educator will not only possess excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex issues, but will also be willing and able to collaborate with other staff members and tactfully discuss issues. Requirements: • Current unencumbered VA RN license required • Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) required • 5 years of direct care nursing experience in at least one of the units below: ED, ICU, Perioperative/OR required • BLS certification required • Master’s degree in nursing (MSN) strongly preferred • 2 years of clinical education experience, including assessing, planning, implementing, facilitating, coordinating, and evaluating learning activities, programs, and projects, preferred
