Senior Accountant

About This Job: The role of the Senior Accountant will be to perform the analysis and reporting of financial results for the business operations. The individual should be a results-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced and challenging environment. As well as monthly responsibilities for closing the financials, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for assistance with audit and regulatory reporting and requirements, operational reporting to clients and internal business owners, as well as ad hoc reporting and process improvement project management. Top "Must Haves" 1. 4-8 years of experience in accounting (HM not interested in candidates with 10+ years of experience in accounting) 2. Bachelors degree 3. Healthcare experience required (insurance agency background is looked at) 4. Healthcare experience (with 6-8 years of experience they will look at less healthcare experience. With 4-5 years of experience, almost entirely healthcare experience is preferred 5. Preferred: CPA, bigger company or Big 4 experience 6. Excel experience; Great Plains and SQL experience a plus 7. Specific expertise in general ledger accounting, full month-end close, journal entries and balance sheet reconciliation Reasons to Love This Job 1.
