Overview

Position Summary: This position works full time and hours are scheduled between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. The RN will take approximately 15 days of call per month to cover after hours and weekends. Direct nursing care of patient in a procedural environment. Responsiblilities include, but not limited to: the care of cardiac/peripheral procedural patients, post sheath removal, recognition of groin complications, IABPs, EKG interpretation, abnormal lab value recognition and reporting of these values to the physician. This facility offers patients diagnosis and treatment of cardiac disease. The Cath Lab offers 2 procedure rooms equipped with Toshiba and Phillips equipment and hemodynamic monitoring through Merge, an inclusive system for hemodynamic monitoring, reporting and PACs systems. The staff average approximately 100 procedures per month. Cath Lab RNs provide call coverage for emergent cardiac procedures and the Registered Nurse (RN) will be confident in care of patients with acute illness or chronic cardiac disease, cardiac monitoring, and critical drips. Call is after hours and weekends and is about 15 days per month. Diagnostic and interventional catheterization procedures are scheduled Monday through Friday. Necessary Qualifications: • An active state of Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license is required • A current Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association is required • A current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association is required - candidate may obtain the certification within 1 year of hire date • Minimum one year nursing experience is required; previous Cath Lab, ED or Critical Care experience strongly preferred • A graduate from an accredited school of Nursing is required
