"Must Have" Skills for this Job: Education: 1. Graduate from an accredited nursing program or current enrollment in an Alternative Entry MSN program 2. Bachelor’s degree preferred 3. Texas RN License or a Compact RN license from a NCLA Compact State 4. BCLS Certification and ACLS certification 5. A minimum of 3 years’ of Ambulatory Care (OPS) or Surgery (OR) RN Experience is required 6. 4 or more years of PreOp or OR Circulating experience strongly preferred 7. Previous supervisory/leadership experience is a plus About this Job: The Nursing Manager, in collaboration with the Director, is responsible for the clinical and financial outcomes of designated clinical unit/units. The manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the unit, including promoting positive patient, employee and physician satisfaction. The manager will assist the unit director to meet or exceed the monthly operating budget. The manager in collaboration with the clinical nurse educator will assure appropriate unit orientation and ongoing staff competency. Participates in providing patient specific care standards as directed, and follows service excellence standards to ensure high levels of patient satisfaction.
