Overview
Locum OB hospitalist needed in Lafayette, LA! - We would have a nurse practitioner covering the ED until 11pm. - We would also require the candidate to come for a 4 hour training if they have never used our systems before. This is a mandatory in person training to ensure that the physician can safely provide coverage – not only for the patients and staff of our hospital but also for the provider. - Provider must hold an active LA license, LA CDS AND LA DEA. - This OB hospitalist program is not a laborist program. - They need to be OBGYN because the Hospitalists do cover the ED from 11p-7a. - We have 15 LDR beds, 10 antepartum beds, 4 triage OB beds, and about 40 postpartum beds. There are 12 beds in ER. - Patient volume is about 15-30 patients per 12 hour shift. Our deliveries are about 3-6 per week. - Required BC - Shift 7am to 7pm/7pm to 7am - EMR: Meditech - Ongoing coverage - Temp/emergency privileges will be provided ***As a reminder, our hospitalist are responsible for the ED as well. Our program is not a typical “laborist” program.***
