Director of Patient Safety

Overview

Job Duties: 1. Advance Patient Safety through Systems Thinking and Design 2. Identify and Mitigate Patient Safety Risk 3. Increase Patient Safety Awareness and Practice among Clinicians and Staff through education and training 4. Engage Executive and Clinical Leaders to support Patient Safety culture 5. Track and trend patient outcomes; make recommendations and develop action programs to improve delivery of care Must Haves for this Job: 1. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred 2. CPHRM, CPPS must have within first year of hire 3. 5+ years healthcare experience with a focus in advanced nursing 4. 3+ years in Risk Management, Quality in an acute care environment 5. Excellent computer skills with demonstrated spreadsheet and database competency 6. Previous management experience preferred 7. Demonstrated analytical skills; familiarity with statistical and/or actuarial methods
