Overview

The primary focus of nursing care is continuous assessment and evaluation of the patients' recovery from the effects of anesthesia and surgery. The role of the nurse is to assess the patient, plan for pt/family educational & discharge needs. Communicate with the health care team pertinent patient data, provide pre/post procedural care and to provide for continuum of care needs.
