Overview
We are seeking capable LPNs to work with patients in a correctional care setting. The correctional LPN will provide comprehensive nursing care, perform duties under supervision of an RN, and function as the Charge Nurse in the absence of Head Nurse or Assistant Head Nurse. This is a fast-paced position where no two days are the same. Nurses with multi-tasking abilities and a good grasp of patient assessment skills will thrive in this role. In this role, the Licensed Practical Nurse will be working in an environment that encompasses ambulatory care, health education, urgent care, infirmary care, and specialty clinics. This variety allows the LPN to use a mix of nursing skills. A comprehensive, 2-week shadowing onboarding experience will help new nurses become accustomed to their duties, and there are opportunities for continuing education. Schedule details: • 2nd (3PM-11PM) Requirements: • Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program required • Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of employment required • Possesses an active CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) required • Experience in correctional care preferred
