Cytotechnologist

Overview

With approximately 7,000 staff members and a medical staff of about 1,200 physicians and allied health professionals, this facility is one of the state’s largest employers and one of the Midwest’s largest referral centers. In this position, you will visually evaluate and assist with collection of cell samples from patients of diverse ages and perform both routine and special diagnostic procedures related to cancer detection requiring application of principles and theories of cytology to produce a reliable diagnostic result. However, the exam must be successfully completed within one year subsequent to hiring. 4. Thin Prep Certification preferred.
