Nurse - Perinatal Services Director

Overview

We are seeking a Director of Perinatal Services to join our nursing leadership team. Seeking a a clinically knowledgeable and professional Registered Nurse who actively participates in creating a professional environment and advocates implementation of evidence based practice and standards of care. As the Director of Perinatal Services, this role will promote staff accountability for excellent patient care, and ensure the department offers an exceptional experience for patients and their families. The Director of Perinatal Services will also empower their staff to perform their jobs while appropriately delegating and recognizing achievements and milestones. Additionally, this position will demonstrate effective stewardship through productive and efficient operations as well as financial controls to include capital and operational budget planning. In order to thrive in this position, the Director of Perinatal Services will possess excellent listening, writing, and communication skills, as well as problem solving abilities and the knowledge and experience in providing safe, proficient, quality nursing care. Requirements: • Active California RN license required • BSN required • Healthcare Provider BLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation Certification required • Minimum 2-3 years managerial experience required • Minimum of 5+ years in Perinatal Services required • Must be fluent in spoken and written English with proficient writing skills • Strong computer skills and proficient in computer applications such as MS Office, Optilink Staffing and Scheduling, Medhost/Cerner E.H.R., Kronos • Labor and Delivery and Postpartum experience preferred
