Overview

We are currently seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with the ability to practice both autonomously and in collaboration with a variety of health providers on the interprofessional team to deliver high-quality, holistic, evidence-based anesthesia and pain care services. The CRNA cares for patients at all acuity levels across the lifespan in a variety of settings for procedures including, but not limited to, surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management. All candidates should have in-depth knowledge of administering anesthesia to patients undergoing a variety of surgical or non-surgical procedures. To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate must demonstrate good judgment and the ability to respond appropriately to stressful conditions. Schedule: • February to May assignment • All call is beeper • 1st and 2nd on weekdays and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd on weekends • Call comes in at 11 am or noon to work shifts, then call is from home afterwards • Weekend call is strictly call; no shift involved • Shift Schedule: Flexible - Share 8's, 10's, 12's for a 40-hour work week • Competitive compensation • OB experience is not required for this opening Responsibilities: • Develop and execute an effective anesthetic plan. • Manage patient's airway and respiratory status. • Monitor patients before, during and after a medical procedure. • Prepare operating rooms, set up equipment, layout supplies, and prepare necessary gases. • Perform regular patient visits and legibly record findings in the patient records. • Request and assess diagnostic tests. • Remain up-to-date with the latest advances in the anesthesia field including the introduction of new medical equipment and techniques. • Maintain up-to-date case logs. • Cases include general, general surgery, orthopedics, GYN, eyes, and ENT Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required • Board Certification is required • Active OR license is required • PALS, ACLS, NRP and BLS certifications are required • Working knowledge of EPIC is strongly preferred • Minimum of 1 year experience working as a CRNA is preferred • Must be skilled in airway management techniques and chronic pain treatment
