Overview
We are seeking an experienced Director of Pharmacy to join our team in San Luis Obispo. The director will be responsible for overseeing all medication storage and preparation in the hospital while ensuring that the pharmacy provides optimal services and remains in compliance with legal, accreditation, and certification requirements. The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory experience, great communication skills, and the ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedules. Additionally, the Director of Pharmacy will serve as the facility’s Medication Safety Officer and will be responsible for attending the medication safety meetings. This position reports directly to the COO. Requirements: • Currently licensed to practice Pharmacy in the State of California • Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy recognized by the California State Board of Pharmacy • Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience required • 2-5 years of Director Level experience • Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred
