Overview
We are currently seeking a Cogito Business Systems Analyst to join our team in Livonia, MI. In this position, the Cogito Business Systems Analyst will work closely with business partners and other resources to design and develop analytics strategies and business intelligence solutions, and will also serve as a mentor to lesser experienced staff. Our ideal candidate has analytical and product management skills, including an advanced understanding of how to facilitate design reviews with developers to communicate business requirements and collaboratively build efficient queries and present data for ease of use and maintainability. This role will also be the primary design leader for complex business intelligence solutions, and will need to effectively build partnerships between business areas and the Analytics and Data Warehouse organization. Other responsibilities of the Cogito Business Systems Analyst include providing recommendations to solve complex business needs with BI reporting tools including, but not limited to, SAP Business Objects, Tableau and other analytic platforms. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in healthcare or information technology • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in healthcare and/or information Technology (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) • 5-7 years experience in informatics reporting and analysis and knowledge of e-quality measures for organizations such as The Joint Commission, CMS and AHRQ. • Proficiency in supporting business customers in related decision making and proficiency with the tools needed to support their requests. (Business Objects, Crystal, SPSS, SQL Query). • Minimum of 7 years experience using source system/transactional data. Preferably in the HealthCare vertical. • Extensive informatics or information technology experience with responsibility in conducting analysis, research and process improvement.
