Overview

We are currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner for the Department of Oncology located at our hospital in Evanston, IL. This is a full time position and is benefits eligible. Hours will be scheduled between 8-5:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. Responsibilities Provide symptom management support in the clinic setting as well as triage urgent calls and manage the clinical pool which includes proactive symptom management outreach. This position and clinic will be a conduit to decrease ED utilization and admissions of the oncology patient population. · Provide urgent care symptom management for the oncology patient population · Provide comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and prescribe treatments for acute symptom management of the oncology patient population · Promote wellness and prevent illness and injury in various settings for individuals, families, and communities · Work autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams as resources and consultants Qualifications/Requirements: · Current professional Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) in the state of IL required · DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required · BLS/CPR certification required · Minimum 1 year prior APN experience required (will take any NP background except homehealth, hospice) · Oncology RN Experience required (does not have to be recent experience) · Experience with all age groups · Prior Urgent Care/Emergency Room experience preferred
