Overview
Under moderate supervision manages all aspects of a wide variety of information system projects. This PM will work with construction project managers, should have an understanding of network cabling and work with cabling contractors, understand PC and other IT device configuration and deployment (PC’s, scanners, printers, label printers, and so forth). This PM should be capable of looking at construction drawings, space layouts, and be able to determine where IT devices and cable drops would need to be deployed. The PM will also prepare budgets for project device purchases, place the orders fro equipment, and arrange for the configuration and actual delivery and installation of the devices. The scope of projects on this team ranges in small to medium complexity, cost and scope. The Associate Project Manager is responsible for multiple phases of project management including the following, but not limited to: project planning, budgeting, timeline and task management, risk and issue management, resource management, communication, scope management, implementation, and project closure. The project manager works to ensure that System or departmental projects are delivered on time, budget and scope. The project manager is adept at communicating with a varying range of end-users, business and operational leaders, and project resources.
