Overview

Job Description Researches healthcare licensure matters in various states; prepares and submits license and certificate applications, renewals, annual reports & other required filings. Assists with internal physician licensing and credentialing. Researches and stays abreast of changes in state and federal law that impact our business. Researches other legal matters as needed. Provides support to the corporate administrative departments and reports to the Chief People Officer. Required Skills & Experience -Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Associates Degree or 3 years’ experience in corporate legal required. -Paralegal certificate or legal education/training required. -3+ years’ experience as a legal assistant/paralegal in a corporate legal department, preferably with 1 – 2 years’ experience in corporate licensure ideally in a healthcare setting -Exceptional legal research skills, particularly with CMS and state statutes. -Experience working in a health care law firm or health care corporate legal department is highly preferred. -Experience in the corporate legal department of an entity with multi-state operations highly preferred. What you need to know - This position will be responsible for Coordinating, ensuring timely & thorough completion of all required licensure applications & renewals - This position will also be responsible for credentialing physicians - Will have the opportunity for a flexible schedule including some remote work
