Overview
Job Title: Lawson Application Analyst Job Description: The non-clinical operations and support team within the CHS Information Technology Department is seeking a motivated, driven and creative Senior Analyst to join the General Financials IT Team. This team supports, designs, maintains, and monitors a suite of financial application with a focus on Lawson, Essbase, MedHost A/P and Medhost MM to achieve quality, stability and maximum uptime. The role performs technical functions including: evaluating, supporting, implementing and troubleshooting the applications listed above, interacting with Corporate Supply Chain Services, Hospital Material Managers, Corporate Accounting, Corporate IT and Information Security. The position requires working technical knowledge of financial applications. The position performs a variety of technical functions including technical troubleshooting of system incidents. This position: • Evaluates and corrects incidents involving technical configuration of the product to meet facility user needs • Proven analytical and technical skills to be able to devise new, and adapt existing, methods, techniques and procedures to meet specific requirements • Has the ability to suggest and implement technical performance improvement ideas • Develops and maintains technical and user documentation • Effectively creates and executes QA testing plans for software changes/updates • Communicates, prioritizes, tracks, and resolves issues in a timely fashion • Devises and/or proactively acts to modify systems and procedures to solve complex problems and produce specified results • Serves as an escalation point for services for reported technical incidents or tasks. • Has ability to provide technical training and mentor junior staff members. • Must be organized, self-motivated, be attentive to detail and capable of multi-tasking. • Ensures technical standards are utilized. • Will be a key resource on the General Financials team. Required skills & experience (the “must haves” to be considered) • Five years’ experience in financial application systems analysis supporting large corporate environments. • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Business Technology or equivalent experience. • In depth experience in the implementation and support of Lawson modules including Materials, Finance, Business Intelligence is required. • Interface, HL7 knowledge preferred. • Experience in SQL query tools, HL7 interface standards, FTP fundamentals and report writing are a plus.
