Job Title Sr. Network & Data Center Engineer Job Description • Create and maintain VMWare infrastructure standards documentation as it relates to infrastructure systems design, configuration, support, and processes • Design, implement, and support Enterprise Wintel, Citrix and VMware systems and other LAN and WAN infrastructures • Plan and coordinate, install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain Wintel, Citrix, and VMWare technologies • Diagnose and resolve complex configuration and troubleshooting issues within a multi-vendor infrastructure • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of infrastructure standards documentation as it relates to infrastructure systems design, configuration, support, and engineering processes for end-to-end service offerings Required skills & experience (the “must haves” to be considered) Minimum Years’ Experience: 10+ Type Experience: Relies on extensive experience to plan and accomplish tasks Leadership/ Contributions: May lead multiple layers of resources Typically reports to: Director or VP Advanced Degree or Certifications? Yes, highest possible • 5-8+ years of relevant networking experience - The position will be Sr. Network Specialist with Data Center experience on Cisco ACI and CCIE and/or CCDP certifications. • Expertise supporting data center networks • Solutions-oriented mindset dedicated to the development of corporate-level strategies that align with business drivers • Capacity to evaluate and critically analyze existing network topologies and provide guidance on achieving high availability, reliability, fault tolerance, and performance improvement • Strong network performance monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities • Proficiency supporting Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (Cisco ACI) • Ability to integrate services into existing Cisco ACI fabric • Experience creating application policies in ACI to including tenants, endpoint groups (EPGs), contracts, subjects, and filters • Familiarity developing fabric access policy to include switch policies, interface policies, domain policies, and AEPs • Ability to verify APIC and leaf health • Expertise configuring and deploying enterprise-class networks including the following products: Cisco Nexus 7k, 5k, 3k, 2k switches, Cisco Catalyst switches, and Cisco ASR/ISR routers • Firm understanding of external L2/L3 fabric connectivity and experience in L2/L3 switching architecture and design • Advanced understanding of BGP, OSPF, VDC, vPC, VXLAN, and ECMP What you need to know: This is a 90-day contract-to-hire position.
