Overview

Job Title Sr. Firewall Security Engineer Job Description This is a full time support-based operations position. Position requires technical firewall experience, strong customer service, and communication skills. This includes the ability to listen, assess, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in a large healthcare enterprise; working with multiple groups and people of varying skill levels. Primary duties will be to develop, create, and troubleshoot Next-Generation firewalls, firewall rules, and networking issues. Additional focus will be on Active-Directory, Identity Management, and Group Policy. This is a 24x7x365 healthcare environment. Required skills and experience EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: An undergraduate degree in computer systems or related field is preferred. Equivalent experience of at least four years in Information Security or related field will be considered. The following certifications are preferred: Security+, Vendor certifications, GIAC or CCNA. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Experience with Next-Generation Firewalls is a must Work background in a medium to large environment comprised of multiple WANs, and LANs Active Directory and application firewall solutions Advanced knowledge of OSI model Knowledge of routing and switching configurations Knowledge of HIPAA, HiTrust, HiTech and PCI standards Good technical writing, documentation, and communication skills are required Experience in supporting Healthcare environment helpful SKILLS NEEDED: • Develop, create, and troubleshoot firewall rules • Assess, navigate and troubleshoot network related issues in regards to firewall implementation. • Knowledge of switching and routing protocols. • Troubleshoot and design enterprise-wide group policy within an Active Directory environment. • Responsible for troubleshooting Windows based solutions • Provide technical support and consultation for enhancement of, and changes to, enterprise security configurations • Assist in the documentation of security policies and procedures related to information security operations • Produce detailed documentation including data flow, logical, and physical diagrams as required What you need to know This is a 90-day contract-to-hire position
