Job Title Network Engineer III (VMware) Job Description - Minimum of 5 years enterprise level experience required. - Firm understanding of IT terms and concepts with ability to read vendor documentation and perform related duties accurately. - Detailed experience with VMWare and Powershell / PowerCLI in an administration, operations and support role. - Experience with Nutanix Acropolis a plus. - Must be able to create engineering level documentation representing proposed, pilot, and as-built systems. - Experience with physical hardware from 2 or more vendors from the following list: Dell, Cisco(UCS), Nutanix required. - Candidate will be expected to make presentations to management up to and including C-level staff for project related, support metric related communications. - This position will be on the Platform Engineering team performing various systems administrative, operational and support duties as assigned. Job Duties/ Responsibilities: - Create and maintain VMWare infrastructure standards documentation as it relates to infrastructure systems design, configuration, support, and processes - Design, implement, and support Enterprise Wintel, Citrix and VMware systems and other LAN and WAN infrastructures - Plan and coordinate, install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain Wintel, Citrix, and VMWare technologies - Must have the ability to create, assimilate and convey technical material in a concise and effective manner via text-based, technical data flows and diagrams - Manage several tasks simultaneously, regularly reviewing priorities to be sure that projects are completed on time - Diagnose and resolve complex configuration and troubleshooting issues within a multi-vendor infrastructure - Contribute to the creation and maintenance of infrastructure standards documentation as it relates to infrastructure systems design, configuration, support, and engineering processes for end-to-end service offerings Required skills & experience (the "must haves" to be considered) Minimum Years’ Experience: 5 - 10 Type Experience: Relies on extensive experience to plan and accomplish tasks Leadership/ Contributions: Leads and directs the work of others Typically reports to: Director Advanced Degree or Certifications?
