Overview

Job Title Sr SQL Database Administrator Job Description The Senior SQL Database Administrator will be responsible to day to day administration and monitoring of our database environment. The Senior SQL DBA will also create standards and executes processes for installing, configuring, and securing Microsoft SQL Server in a high-availability environment. This position solves performance issues of database applications by implementing changes to database objects and/or working with developers/vendors on application tuning efforts and assists in troubleshooting, performance tuning and general problem solving of SQL environment. Required Skills and Experience - BS in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or equivalent job experience. - 5-7 years' experience in developing and administering Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008/2012/2014 solutions - Demonstrable Software Development experience - Understanding and experience within Azure Web Services is a must. - Knowledge of database architecture and design - Ability to interpret written requirements and technical specification documents. - Ability to code software according to published standards and design guidelines. - Successful teamwork experience and demonstrated leadership abilities are required
