Overview
Job Title RN Supervisor Job Description On behalf of the Director of Nursing, provides for the continuity of nursing services in the development, implementation and evaluation of quality nursing care to residents and families. Will serve as the on-site administrative person for the facility and oversee staff to promote patient and staff safety. Demonstrates St. Peter’s Health Partner’s Standards of Behavior and Core Values. Demonstrates the organization’s commitment to sound ethical business practices as directed by the Corporate Compliance Office and approved by the Board of Trustees. The Nursing supervisor would be available to admit and readmit patients, perform QA audits as well as assist with staffing concerns. The supervisor would also act as a family liaison to families and follow up on clinical concerns from the previous shift(s) as needed. Required Skills & Experience - Associate’s degree in nursing, Bachelor's preferred - Valid NYS RN license - Current CPR and BLS - 1+ yrs of experience as a RN - 1+ yr of experience in a leadership role overseeing staff - 1 + yr of experience in a long term care facility/ Skilled Nursing Facility - MDS experience - Leadership and mentorship skills overseeing RNs, LPNs and C.N.A staff
