Overview

Job Description: The VP of Sales will report to the SVP of Business Development and will be a major contributor to the growth of this client. The VP of Sales will consistently meet or exceed revenue goals, demonstrate consistent prospecting activity to maximize new business development and maintain a robust and qualified new business development pipeline. What you need to know: - Contributes to and executes annual business plan with a focus on strategy, proactive target marketing, and proactive client engagement initiatives - Develops effective internal cross-organizational relationships and external market relationships to drive sales - Identifies, establishes, builds and maintains positive, professional relationships at all decision levels within prospect accounts and develops a positive consensus regarding the client’s value proposition across the organization - Manages pipeline process and routinely engages in specific sales pursuits - Maintains a highly credible professional profile within the healthcare services industry, networking with payors, healthcare systems, and other potential industry clients - Works closely with operations and other departments within the organization to clearly understand and communicate offerings and insure the services offered are aligned with the sales commitments - Participates in trade shows within the healthcare services and health plan industries, and other events with a collective of prospects - Provides field input for product / service line enhancement and new product / service line development - Drives total revenue objectives within assigned territory - Works with prospect to procure claims data for finance to perform necessary analysis of data for pricing, preparing pro formals and beginning the contracting process - Manages contract process to ensure healthy business deals that protect the company and meet financial objectives Required skills & experience: - Advanced College Degree Preferred but not required - 5-7 years’ experience selling health services to healthcare payors and/or related healthcare markets - Proven business development expertise, with the ability to leverage existing relationships and contacts within the industry, and strong negotiation skills. Must be comfortable closing complex transactions on a deadline. - Strong understanding of managed care organizations (MCO), Medicaid and Medicare Advantage Plans, and third-party administrators (TPA) arrangements - Strong existing relationships and network contacts in above noted industries - Must understand key market trends in these industries, to link them to business needs, and have strong conceptual understanding of key customer needs - Clearly demonstrated strengths in developing and executing strategic and tactical sales and service plans, related budgets and required sales and service infrastructure - Proficient with Salesforce.com or other sales management technology - Ensure the integrity and accuracy of forecasted revenues - Consistently meets or exceeds new business revenue and total contract value objectives
