Overview

Job title: Psychologist Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm OUTPATIENT ALL ADULT 30% new evals 70% med checks 6 patients per day EPIC EMR Will take 90 days to credential. Education: Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology from an accredited APA institution. Education and training in pain management counseling, with an emphasis on cognitive behavioral therapy, is highly preferred. Additional areas of expertise could include Mindfulness-based Training, Acceptance Based Therapy. Licensure/Certification: Washington State Psychologist license. Experience and Skills: • Minimum of two years working with patients with chronic nonmalignant pain in a multi- or interdisciplinary setting; this includes experience with cognitive behavioral therapy, family counseling, adjustment to disability and patient/family dynamics. • Psychometric assessment, including intellectual, cognitive and personality testing skills. Group facilitation skills preferred. • Highly developed analytical, interpersonal, and counseling skills required. • Experience with Substance Abuse Screening Protocols, preferred. • Familiarity with brief, structured intervention techniques (motivational interviewing, behavioral activation, CBT etc). • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple demands and projects. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, often stressful environment. • Ability to work with a diverse patient and staff population. • Ability to work effectively with groups. • Ability to work in different settings as required by system needs. • Ability to develop cooperative relationships with families, patients, physicians and other health care professionals Support staff: 1 RN Educator, 1 Physical Therapist, 1 Occupational Therapist, 1 Relaxation Therapist, 1 Psychologist (this position), 7 MD/DO providers, 7 RN's, 4 MA's
