Overview
Job Description We are seeking a Nurse Manager who will assist the Department Director in planning, directing and coordinating the operational, financial and personnel activities of the designated departments. Provides clinical and operational leadership for areas assigned. The ideal candidate will have a detailed knowledge of nursing, specifically how and why work needs to be done. This position also requires some interpretation of data, as well as knowledge of human resource issues, and of budgets and financial resources. The assistant nurse manager will also be able to determine a course of action in complex situations that may not be directly addressed by existing policies or procedures (these situations may include changes in staffing, applying procedures, or changing the order in which work is done).
