Required skills & experience: 1.) Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible 2.) Must have or be willing to attain PA medical license 3.) Must be comfortable to 'flex' between C/A admissions and Adult admissions 4.) Must perform Psychiatric H&P's 5.) Must be accountable during credentialing and when traveling What you need to know: All travel/lodging accommodations are paid for! Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm No call, but is available if wanted Assignment length: 6 months to start, potentially ongoing Inpatient: FLEX between Adult and Child/Adolescence This locum will see a max of 10 patients per day on the flex unit - includes performing initial evals and rounding. The locum provider will be required to do limited hospital consults. The flex unit is a 10 bed inpatient unit that's licensed to 'flex' between C/A admissions and Adult admissions. In practice, this unit only admits adults. Average admissions per day: 2 per day Average length of stay: 8 days Cerner EMR Psychiatric H&P's only. Experienced PA works alongside provider. This locum has the benefit of having a mid-level provider with the on the inpatient unit as well as a full complement of therapist and technicians. Cases: Varies. Inpatient unit tends to focus on a more chronic population. Credentialing takes: Can be 10-14 days if all documentation is completed & references contacted
