Overview
Client is looking for a Psychiatrist or a Physician with Addiction Medicine experience to work every Monday and Thursday ongoing. The locum physician would see up to 5-6 patients per day. The primary need is for intakes (0-6 per week), but will also include physicals. We prefer someone within driving distance of Shelbyville, KY (in between Louisville and Lexington). Duties include: - Planning and supervising provision of treatment for patients (including regular review and notes in the patient's record) with a strong emphasis on quality & customer service. - Oversee any patient emergencies - Oversees patient care provided by physician extender, signs charts, etc., when applicable - Supervises the administration of medications - Provides patient education specific to various disease processes within our scope of practice Schedule: - Every Monday and Thursday, ongoing - 6 am - 12 pm each day Requirements: - Active medical license in KY - BC/BE - Suboxone X waiver
