Overview
Job Description As a Medical Technologist you will accurately analyze and report all tests ordered by the Medical Staff in a timely manner to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. You will perform required Quality Control procedures and maintain records to ensure tests are being performed within control limits accurately and within a timely manner. Required Skills and Experience - Bachelor's Degree required - Certification as a Medical Technologist – MT (ASCP), or MLS, or AMT, or NCA, or Specialty certification depending on lab section (e.g. M(ASCP) for Microbiology, H(ASCP) for Hematology, etc.) - Will accept new graduates What You Need to Know - Schedule: Night and Day shifts available; rotating every 3rd weekend - Physical requirements include: Sitting, reaching, grasping, and repetitive movements – More than 50% of time; Standing – 30% - 50% of time; Lifting up to 50 lbs – Up to 30% of time; Carrying up to 50 lbs – Up to 30% of time; Exposure to dust, fumes and odor – Up to 30% of time; Work near moving parts – More than 50% of time - The first Magnet designated hospital system in the state of Texas
